2026 Lotus IceBreaker V12 Race
Congratulations to all the hardy paddlers who raced at the 2026 Lotus Ice Breaker! It was a very soggy day but not a cold one…thankfully! The best part of the day was having a chance to get together with paddling friends. Such a fun start to the paddling year!
For teams who placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in their category in each heat, a donation on your team’s behalf will be made to a charitable organization. $1,920 will be donated to charities this year; these gifts to others are indicative of the culture and values inherent in the sport of outrigger canoe racing and the Aloha spirit. Thank you, everyone!
Our event is built on a foundation of outrigger Ohana and would not have been possible without canoes loaned by Fort Langley Canoe Club, our amazing club volunteers, and the racers who were a part of the event. We are grateful for your support! Special thanks to the teams who helped move canoes to the beach before the first heat and to the racers in the final heats, who were so gracious in helping us move boats from the beach. A special shout out to the teams who helped load canoes onto the trailer at the end of the day, you know who you are!! ☺️
The Lotus youth paddlers have asked us to pass on their appreciation to everyone who visited their concession – your donations will be put to good use to support their program.
