The Lotus Sports Club offers instruction and training for paddlers of all age and experience levels who wish to paddle in a variety of watercraft such as stand-up paddleboards and outrigger canoes. The Lotus Sports Club has had a paddling program in existence since 1986 when a team competed in the first Vancouver International Dragon Boat Races at Expo ’86. Since organizing the first outrigger canoe race in Canada, the 1989 Lotus Iron, the club has made a name for itself as both a competitive and participatory club. A junior development program was started in 1989 and, over the past 30 years, more than 2,000 young people have been introduced to paddling programs. The Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) program was introduced in 2013 and has been extremely popular; the protected waters and vast shoreline of Indian Arm offer chances to explore and practice skills for novice to experienced SUP paddlers.

The healthful, social and environmentally friendly aspects of our watersports have drawn many people to the Lotus Sports Club. We encourage you to come and try our exciting watersports!
