Lotus Ice Breaker V12 Race

Teams of 12 paddlers will start the new year off with an invigorating paddle in the beautiful but icy waters of Indian Arm on Saturday, January 23, 2010. We have had an incredible response to this year's race and all heats are now full - thank you to all teams who registered early.

Race Course: Race route will be announced on race day based on weather and water conditions.
Registration:
$180 per team for adult teams
$120 per team for junior teams

All paddlers must pay CORA fees - please see Page 8 of the race package for the CORA membership form.

Categories:
Adult Open Mixed (minimum 6 females per team) or
Junior Mixed (minimum 6 females per team)
Schedule:
Registration now opens at 8:15 am since a 9:15 am heat has been added.
Steersperson’s meeting will take place 30 minutes before each heat.
First heat begins at 9:15 am with subsequent heats approximately every 45 minutes.
Heat Assignment:All heats are now full and registration is closed. Confirmation of heat assignment and a race grid has been sent out.
Equipment: Double-hulled (V12) boats will be supplied. PFD’s are mandatory and must be worn properly by all paddlers - PFD’s are available. A limited number of paddles can be made available on request – please bring your own paddle.
Concession: Hot soup, beverages and home baking will be available for purchase. The concession will be a fundraiser for the Lotus junior team’s latest project to help those in need.
Awards: Place prizes will be awarded after each heat. Race results will be posted on this website.
Hot Tub: There will be a hot tub on site for your après race enjoyment.
